How it's calculated

We use the Mifflin-St Jeor equation for BMR (weight in kg, height in cm, age in years):

Men: BMR = 10×weight + 6.25×height − 5×age + 5
Women: BMR = 10×weight + 6.25×height − 5×age − 161

Then we multiply BMR by an activity factor to get TDEE:

TDEE = BMR × activity multiplier
