Understanding your result
The value is a daily baseline for fluids (from drinks and food). It's a starting point, individual needs vary with climate, sweat, and diet. Include water-rich foods. Increase intake in hot weather or during intense exercise.

We multiply your weight (kg) by an ml/kg factor based on activity level. Hot climate adds 10% on top of that baseline, cold climate reduces it by 5%. Temperate keeps the baseline.
When to drink more
Drink more when it's hot, when you're exercising hard, or when you feel thirsty, but don't rely on thirst alone during long or intense sessions. Start well hydrated, sip during activity, and replace fluids afterward. Avoid drinking far more than you need (hyponatremia risk with extreme overconsumption).
- Drink water regularly throughout the day, don't wait until you're thirsty.
- Keep a water bottle nearby as a visual reminder.
- Water-rich foods also help with hydration.
FAQ
How much water per day?
We use 30 to 45 ml per kg of body weight, depending on activity level. It's a guideline, not an individual prescription.
Does coffee count toward water intake?
Yes, moderate amounts of caffeinated drinks contribute to fluid intake. Very high amounts can have a mild diuretic effect, balance with plain water.
